Accor-owned Orient Express is making waves in the luxury travel industry with the unveiling of its first ship, the Orient Express Silenseas, the world’s largest sailing vessel. The ship will set sail on its maiden voyage in 2026 and will offer 54 suites, with an average size of 753 square feet, including a 15,230-square-foot Presidential Suite covering the entire top deck. The ship will feature two swimming pools, two restaurants, a cabaret lounge, a speakeasy bar, a spa, and a recording studio.

The Orient Express Silenseas is built by luxury shipyard Chantiers de l’Atlantique and is designed by Nantes-based design firm Stirling Design International, with French architect Maxime d’Angeac responsible for the interiors. The design is inspired by the glamorous and refined days of the French Riviera, featuring individual touches in both the guest suites and communal areas. Accor Chairman and CEO Sébastien Bazin stated that the Orient Express Silenseas will take the experience and excellence of luxury travel and apply it to the world’s most beautiful seas, marking a new chapter in their history.
