Richard Mille has just launched an ultra-exclusive timepiece—and it’s the first release since Formula 1 champion Lewis Hamilton officially joined Ferrari.
Called the RM 42-01, this high-performance watch is available in TPT Carbon or titanium, and it comes with a price tag that exceeds most new Ferrari supercars. With only 150 units being produced, owning one puts you in a very elite club.
If you’re looking to get your hands on one, prepare to spend well into the seven figures.
The First Richard Mille Timepiece for Lewis Hamilton

Richard Mille has built strong partnerships with both McLaren and Ferrari, and the RM 42-01 marks the brand’s second Ferrari-specific watch—following their record-breaking ultra-thin model from three years ago.
What sets this edition apart is that it’s the first watch designed specifically for Ferrari under Lewis Hamilton’s name.
The RM 42-01 features a split-second chronograph combined with a tourbillon, offering a power reserve of 70 hours. It comes in two distinct materials: full Carbon TPT (just 85 grams) and a Carbon TPT-titanium blend (96.5 grams).
Carbon TPT is a patented carbon fiber-based material developed by Richard Mille, known for being both lightweight and incredibly durable.
Each version is limited to 75 pieces, with the titanium model priced at $1.3 million, and the Carbon TPT version coming in around $1.5 million. That means this watch is more expensive than most Ferraris—excluding rare models like the Daytona SP3 or the Monza SP2.
Richard Mille: The Game-Changer in Luxury Sports Watches

Founded in 2001, Richard Mille is a relatively young name in Swiss watchmaking. Yet, in just over two decades, it has completely transformed the high-end watch market with cutting-edge engineering and a revolutionary sports-first marketing strategy.
Before Richard Mille, luxury watches were typically worn after an event. RM changed the game by having athletes wear their timepieces during competition.
Rafael Nadal has famously worn his RM during countless tournament victories. In 2009, Felipe Massa was wearing an RM watch during a serious crash. He thankfully made a full recovery—but incredibly, so did the watch. It survived the impact without a scratch.
Richard Mille has become synonymous with performance, innovation, and exclusivity, and the RM 42-01 is a powerful symbol of that reputation.
