Mark Zuckerberg is expanding his personal fleet of superyachts — and the latest addition might be the most extravagant yet.
According to reports, the Meta CEO has snapped up a record-setting $100 million shadow vessel to support his already impressive megayacht, Launchpad.
This new vessel, allegedly named U-81, is no ordinary support yacht. In fact, it was previously owned by fellow billionaire Jeff Bezos.
A Billionaire’s Backup Yacht
Zuckerberg’s journey into the world of ultra-luxury yachts began with Launchpad, a 387-foot Feadship masterpiece delivered in early 2024.
Complete with two helipads, a jacuzzi, an observation pod, and a massive swimming pool, Launchpad is built to impress — and clearly needed a capable companion.
Enter Wingman, a stylish support yacht purchased around the same time as Launchpad, reportedly as part of a $330 million package deal.
But it looks like Zuckerberg didn’t stop there.
Meet U-81: A Shadow Yacht With Serious Perks
Zuckerberg has reportedly added U-81, a $100 million shadow yacht, to his growing fleet — and this one comes with a bit of billionaire history.
The vessel, previously owned by Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, has now been refitted as a high-end support yacht. But let’s be honest — it’s luxurious enough to stand on its own.
U-81 features:
- Accommodation for 8 guests in 4 lavish cabins
- Room for 16 crew members
- A large crane for handling water toys and submersibles
- A helipad for rapid getaways
- And yes — even an outdoor basketball court
For a yacht that technically plays second fiddle, U-81 is more luxurious than most people’s dream vacation.
Zuckerberg’s Billionaire Fleet is Growing Fast
From tech mogul to luxury yacht collector, Mark Zuckerberg is joining the ranks of billionaires like Bezos and Gates with a floating empire of his own.
It’s clear that for Zuckerberg, one superyacht isn’t enough — and with his endless fortune, his growing fleet might just become the ultimate status symbol on the high seas.
Because when you’re worth $100+ billion, why not bring an entire support yacht complete with a basketball court?
